It works, but the construction leaves a lot to be desired. The screw that secures the sleeve to the bar will EASILY strip the plastic threads if you tighten it very much at all. Having metal screws in plastic threads seems kinda dumb. OF COURSE it's gonna strip them! At some point down the road I'll probably look for a better alternative. Note to self: This is a business opportunity to EASILY create a better product and run this thing out of business. One end of the sleeve is closed unlike what is pictured. This prevents me from securing it with the allen screw because I can't slide the sleeve all the way onto the 1 1/2" pole.1month into usage and lock has held up without tightening, once the L wrench stops turning with little force on initial install, do one more half circle turn and leave it be, that's worked for me thus far.I've put two 45plates and one 10plate on each side and the hard plastic hasn't cracked!Only drawback is it's an 8inch adapter and my bar is around 12-14in so I'm waiting on a bigger one so I don't have to add my 1inch 2.5lb plates first to stop my 2inch plates from sliding.Set screw will bulge the nylon during tightening, making these relatively unusable for Troy branded plates. Will work for the cheaper plates like Marcy though. I wound up using glue to bond in place permanently to rectify. I still have to wiggle and rotate the Troy plates to get into plates. Adds a level of frustration during the workout. These come in qty of one, so if you need two, order two. They are more for machines like a Latpull down or weight bench than barbells.I put over a 100 pounds on the two of mine last night and used them for my lat and seated rows and they worked perfect.I saw people complaining about the set screw and was concerned. However, it tightened up, no movement, worked perfect.Great invention, does what it should.Would buy again.Ok. First let me say Ive been training for over 40 years and fully understand how a T-bar row should work. While the plastic sleeve fits well the small bolt that holds the sleeve in place easily strips. The sleeve will slide off.One way to get around this is to cut off the round end, place the sleeve and attach a small dumb bell collar at the end to keep it clamped on. The clamp will have to be small enough for plates to slide over the top.Another way would be to drill straight through the sleeve and bar and run a long threaded rod through- as long as plates can slide over it should work.I placed a 2 inch bar clamp on the sleeve after adding plates so the plates dont clang around. So, with a little alteration this sleeve works well.Bought this to add girth to one of my home gym's machines. Works great, can fit olympic sized plates on with ease. This item has worked perfectly for what I am using it for, which is to adapt the standard post of a lat pulldown machine to Olympic size. Since the weight carrier for the lat pulldown only moves vertically and is not subject to a lot of hard impacts the hex set screw has held the adapter on the post without issue. I have a second Olympic adapter that I use for the leg developer attachment of my bench, again this works perfectly for this purpose.I do think that if you are buying these to adapt a standard bar to Olympic and are dropping the bar or jarring the weights that these probably would not hold up for a very long time. The tension from the hex set screw is the only thing holding the adapter on to the 1" post/bar. Do yourself a favor and purchase a 2" Olympic bar for use with Olympic plates.Doesn't fit to the bar properly, slides all over the placeI own several body solid products which are all of excellence quality. As another reviewer stated, don't screw it on. The polymer is so weak that is developes a bulge making weight on and weight off troublesome. It came loose after a couple months and now just slips on and off. I will be using pl to secure which is nonsense.Boo for slapping your name on an inferior product.I bought these for my leg extension/leg curl machine so that I can use Olympic plates..it works for me because I don't use huge weight and therefore the short construction isn't an issue...attaches well with an set screw type lock...it would be better if it was longerich hätte das Teil als Adapter von 30 auf 50 mm benötigt, so wie es in der Artikelbeschreibung angegeben ist.Leider ist der Durchmesser jedoch nur ca. 26 mm und da das Teil aus Hartplaste ist, kriegt man die Stange def. nicht in die Öffnung. Schade, viel Aufwand für nichts.Falsche Grössenangabe. Passt nicht auf 30er Stange. Müsste für 26mm sein. Verstehe nicht wie man so eine wichtige Info falsch beschreiben kann! Ich habe den Adapter gekürzt, leider bevor ich den Aufsatz probiert hatte. 30€ für die Tonne...
